ColaMovies.com is a local movie listings site that has been around since 1997, so it’s considered an old man in the world of Web. Over the years, we’ve taken numerous requests for
functions users wanted to see on the site and did them a few steps better.
The site is very easy to use. Site visitors can find all the movie information they
could ever need (reviews, local reviews, times, theatres, etc.). Also, we’ve made the design much more dramatic (it has been praised extensively from users who have been customers throughout all
the years).
Existing functionality was reproduced from a proprietary solution to a custom ASP/SQL website. Modeled after the original site, the new ColaMovies was rebuilt from the ground up following two principals:
1) what works on the existing site, and 2) how do we improve, by consolidating what exists and obeying user requests. The result is a smooth
Web solution with a concise representation of what the user needs. An administration area easily allows any novice to
install weekly updates on all movie info, times, and locations through a clean interface.
